- Files are in this archive: GetSend (for the Amiga)
- GetSend.exe (for the IBM PC Family)
- Getsend.doc (what you are now reading)
-
- Purpose
- -------
- These can used to effect 115.2 Kilobaud xfers using the standard serial
- port on the Amiga and port1 (0x3f8) of the Ibm PC. It should work between
- 2 Amigas, 2 Ibm's or an Amiga and IBM (I've only tested it this way but..)
-
- Usage is the same for both..
- getsend <file1> <file2> .. ..
-
- If no argument is given, receive mode is initiated and the other computer
- supplies the file names for transfer. The best way to invoke these is to
- initiate the send and then the receive.. you only have several seconds before
- a timeout will occur and it will then return to your command shell.
-
-
- To achieve this 115.2 rate, the user is locked out from the machine during
- transfer (although on a ibm, it doesn't reallly matter .. does it?)
-
- Disclaimer
- ----------
- Although I've had no problems with it, there are no guarantees or
- warranties of any kind.. You use it entirely at your own risk..
-
- Future
- ------
- Soon there will be enhanced versions with a GUI and other perks, and
- will be released jointly for the Amiga and IBM, supporting basic term
- functions and some enhanced features.
